Welcome to Alexandra Machado. By placing an order or interacting with our website, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

MATERIALS
Each piece is crafted in sterling silver (925 silver) or sterling silver with 24k gold vermeil. Gold vermeil is a thick layer of gold (3 microns and 24k) plated over a base of sterling silver jewellery.

All pieces are handcrafted in Portugal and due to the artisanal nature of our process, each jewel is unique and may show small variations from one to another.

CERTIFICATION & AUTHENTICITY
All jewellery is certified by the Portuguese Assay Office (Contrastaria of INCM). This entity verifies the metal's purity (legal fineness) and applies an official hallmark alongside the maker’s responsibility mark.

Hallmarking is only required for: Silver pieces over 2 grams and gold pieces over 0.5 grams.

WARRANTY
In accordance with Portuguese consumer law, all products come with a 3 year warranty from the date of purchase.

This warranty does not cover: natural oxidation of silver, wear and fading of gold vermeil and signs of regular use, ageing, or damage from improper handling. We recommend you to check our jewellery care guide here to see how you can maintain your jewel a lifetime.

Prices listed are in Euros and include VAT (23%), as required in Portugal.

SHIPPING
Our pieces are handcrafted, so it takes between 2 to 5 working days to prepare available stock items and, made to order pieces we allow up 3 to 4 weeks for crafting and dispatch. Delivery time depends on the country. You will receive an email with the tracking number once the package has been shipped.

All orders placed after 9 am will be processed the next business day. Holidays do not count as delivery days, orders placed on holidays will be counted as placed on the next business day. Actual delivery date may be affected by shipping delays due to external factors. Please check the shipment tracking information you will receive by email for the most accurate delivery date.

The total cost of each shipment will be automatically calculated and detailed at the time of confirmation of purchase.

REPAIRS
To request a repair, please contact us by email to alexandramachadojewellery@gmail.com, specifying your order number and name of the piece. We will respond with instructions and details for the repair process. Repairs outside the warranty period will incur an additional charge.
